Gravity is designed to reach the lost!

An inter-denominational, non-traditional community outreach that will bring the message of Christ to a lost and dying generation in the desoto county/memphis area on a weekly basis.

It seems that churches are not really reaching this age bracket as 90% of teens who leave high school leave church.
Together we can change all these statistics! Young people can now have a place they feel understood, accepted & welcomed to meet their Savior. Following that life changing moment they will be encouraged and invited to attend area churches to be discipled.

We have discipleship opportunities on Mondays at Gravity Download for those that come without a church to go back to.
Gravity, is a service that is designed to reach a now generation. You’ll walk into a club-like atmosphere with lights and loud music. Why? This is a media- dominated society; if this is the atmosphere that this generation enjoys, lets give it to them while putting Jesus in the middle of it!

30% of JUNIOR high school students and 52% of HIGH school students use drugs. 3 OUT OF 4 high school students are currently sexually active. Mississippi has the HIGHEST RATIO OF STD’S, is 4TH highest for HIGH SCHOOL DROP-OUTS, and 3RD highest for teen pregnancy in the USA.

Students need a PURPOSE to live for and SUPPORT in the areas they struggle with to make RIGHT CHOICES.

The acronym H.E.L.P. is one thing that we keep in mind when we are coming up with the themes and content of our services.

The "H" stands for hope. We will let them know that there is hope, this will set them free from the chains of depression that bind them down on a daily basis. This generation is just trying to find a reason to survive one more day, and when they hear that there is hope, it gives them a reason to keep holding on.

The "E" stands for encourage. This generation desires encouragement just about more than anything else they could possibly obtain. They long to hear that someone believes in them and their dreams. This generation is starving for someone to simply encourage them.

The “L” stands for love. The Bible says in Matthew 24:12 that in the last days the love of many will grow cold. People are craving love more now than they ever have before because there is a shortage of it in our society. Love is the one thing that people long for more than anything else in their lives.

The “P” stands for purpose. There is nothing more depressing than to walk around believing that you have no purpose for being on this earth. When people start believing that there is a purpose for their life, it will change the whole way they think. If they change the way they think, they will change the way they act. If the ordinary person starts believing that God can and will use them, we will see a revival unlike one we have ever seen before!
